Words of thanks from the class of 2025

Dear DFS Committee,

I am writing to express my gratitude toward the generous DFS award I was given. I am so grateful that I will be able to use this money next year at the University of New England where I am studying Medical Biology. This award will help me begin my education leading to becoming a physician assistant where I hope to help people everyday. I appreciate the amount of work you put in as committee members to make sure these scholarships are given each year, as it helps us move onto the next step in our education. This award will allow me to focus on my academics and get involved in more extracurricular activities, and I am so thankful for that.
Sincerely,
KB

Dear Whitman-Hanson Dollars for Scholars donors and volunteers,

I'm writing to express my gratitude in awarding me a DFS award but also for all the hard work that goes into raising money for our class as a whole. As someone who has volunteered with DFS, I see first hand the planning and effort that goes into making these community fundraisers happen. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. Thank you as well to Michael Ganshirt specifically for all the behind the scenes work. As a future graphic design student at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, this scholarship will help me to pursue my education and aid me as a Boston student. I plan to continue helping the community in the same way I have as a member of NHS and my environmental club. I hope that this note finds you well and know that I am greatly appreciative of your generosity. Enjoy your summer!
Sincerely,
OS

Dear Dollars for Scholars board of directors and volunteers,

I would like to start by thanking you for all the time and effort needed to provide financial support to students in our community. As a recipient of a DFS scholarship I will continue my education as a communications major at Dean College. Through this program I intend to work hard toward my goal of becoming a sport editor and film maker. Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,

GM

Dear Whitman-Hanson DFS,

I am incredibly grateful to have been selected as a recipient of the Whitman High School Class of '47 scholarship. This support will help make my college journey more accessible and fulfilling. In the fall, I plan to attend Roger Williams University and major in public relations , as well as compete as a member of the track and field team.
Thank you again,

DFS,

I am truly honored to have received the DFS alumni award this past month and I wanted to express my gratitude to the hardworking folks who made it possible! I see and appreciate every single one of you! As for me, and the money I have been gifted, I am off to Bridgewater State for a degree in psychology and childhood studies. This starts a long road of further education as I hope to earn my doctorate and practice pediatric psychiatry. I hope to make you proud!
Thank you endlessly,

SF
